If Price is all you care about I have a referral for you

Maybe you are not convinced price is not the most important thing when it comes to merchant accounts. If that is the case for you I have an offer for you.
I can refer you to another payment processing company. They’re name is Ted’s Processing and Towing Service, and their rates are lower than anything you have ever seen. In fact, they can process all of your transactions for $0.25 each total, with no extra fees at all.
With that rate they can’t afford the high quality services my company provides. Transactions may take a few minutes to complete, and sometimes your funds are delayed a week or two, but you always get paid. Usually.
They don’t have customer service reps, so Ted’s mother in law is the only one handling the calls, but she’s in jail right now, so you will have to leave a message if you have any problems. But hey, you are going to get a great rate, right?
Of course I am being facetious; however, I think the words above reveal that price is only one component of what a business should be looking for in a merchant account provider.
So what else should a business be looking for? Start by defining what is important to your business, then ask questions that are in alignment with your list. If you have any doubts about a merchant account provider move on until you are certain you have a fair price and your needs will be met.
