Reality Check - How Many Minutes Have You Wasted?
It was my 43rd birthday the other day and one of my children, Corrie, made me a Power Point presentation to mark the day. One of the slides gave some statistics about my life. The key stat that stood out to me was the one that revealed how many minutes I had lived. I just checked the website she used to get those numbers: Birth Data. Here are my stats as of this moment:

You are 2,244 weeks old.
You are 15,708 days old.
You are 377,007 hours old.
You are 22,620,473 minutes old.
You are 1,357,228,434 seconds old.
This really got me thinking about how I have spent my time. I mean what had I achieved? What had I accomplished? How much time had I really just wasted?
Then I ran across the quote below. It was a catalyst for a great week of getting things done.

It is so easy these days to drift off to surfing the web, reading meaningless e-mails, watching You-Tube, etc. In other words it is very easy to waste time! Allow me to encourage you - don’t waste the minutes away. Spend them like money, moving toward your intended end results or one day may turn 43 and realize you had misspent many of the 22,620,473 minutes you had lived!

Happy belated Birthday. Hope you had a great one.
You are right about time. It is way too easily wasted especially on the internet. I previously read that we “waste” a third (or more) of our lives sleeping!
Anyway, while we cannot turn back the clock, hopefully we can spend the rest of our minutes in this world more wisely.
